Pastor Patrick Galligar

As the youngest of five kids, I learned at an early age the value of family. Being with others in community is how God has designed us. When my wife, Gina and I received the call to serve here in August of 2024, we discovered that Faith Lutheran Church was a family like none other. This Body of Christ is filled with like-minded believers who gather for service and worship because they share the desire to be together. They love Jesus and each other. We were welcomed as friends and have quickly become part of this amazing family of faith.

Life started for us in Champaign, IL, where we met at the U. of I. Gina was a Speech Pathologist for 32 years. Our two sons are married and live up north; Tim and Amanda in Indiana and Sean and Sammie in Illinois, and they are all doing well.

Before becoming a Pastor and a Florida resident, I’ve lived a few other places and done a few other things. I’ve lived in Illinois, Missouri and Indiana. I’ve bussed and waited on tables, as well as been a cook at the IHOP. For a few years I was a sous chef, a sales rep for Frito Lay, and for a time I was a good loan officer for a good mortgage company before going to Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 2004.

Gina and I helped both our sons get through college. And we were blessed to be present at, and I was honored to officiate both of their weddings. We have family we love that live in Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Washington, Texas, and more and more in Florida.

We love to travel when we can, host visitors when we are able to, go for walks with our pups, Bella and Happy, but mostly, just enjoy taking each day as it comes and seeing what God has in store for us. I look forward to seeing you in church.
